Scarlet Skips – Hotfix 1.0.1

Five days after launch, YerkDiff posted the only Steam news item in the app feed: a 1.0.1 hot-fix. It adds FPS Limit and VSync, fills the park background, and says Rocket Shoes and Extinguished Ropes were not behaving correctly.

What that means in practice

  • Official Steam news post by YerkDiff. The ISteamNews feed for app 4513480 still lists this as the only announcement.
  • Added FPS Limit and VSync options. Check them in the game’s display settings if a run feels stuttery or torn.
  • Populated the park background with more set-dressing. This is a visual change, not a published card or score change.
  • Fixed several bugs. The only systems named are Rocket Shoes and Extinguished Ropes, which were “not behaving correctly.”
  • Shipped unnamed optimizations and quality-of-life improvements. No list of those extras was published.

Do I need to change my build?

If your route uses Rocket Shoes, Rocket Fuel or Extinguish Jump Rope, replay the pause on 1.0.1 before trusting a pre-hotfix clip. The note confirms those systems exist and were buggy; it does not say what the old bug was, or give new numbers.

Which advice should I re-check?

This site’s card and route pages are written against 1.0.1. High-score and ending routes that lean on fuel or putting out fire should be treated as player reports until you have seen the same behaviour after the hotfix. FPS Limit and VSync do not change which card to take.
